When a simple physics lesson got twisted into something sketchy
I mean, I was just trying to help my cousin understand superposition for his class project. But then he started telling people it proves that cheating isn't real because everything is uncertain. Idk, maybe it's just me, but that feels wrong. I didn't mean for my explanation to be used that way. Now I'm stuck wondering if I should correct him or let it go.

Correct that wild misuse of physics.

Yeah and what maxs15 said about it being dangerous? Imagine if someone actually built something based on that wrong idea. Scary stuff.

Ugh, that's not just wrong, it's taking a science idea and making it dangerous. You gotta shut that down before he tries to use it on a real test.

Honestly had a friend do something similar with that "observer effect" stuff once. Tbh you just gotta pull him aside and say look, science explains how things work, not why we shouldn't follow rules. Ngl it feels awkward but letting it slide just makes the wrong idea stick. Maybe frame it like he's smart for asking but got the wrong takeaway.
