Found my dad using my moisturizer and it clicked something
Walked into the bathroom last night. My dad had my moisturizer in his hand. Rough hands from years of work. Never cared about skin stuff before. Now he's asking about dry patches. We started talking after dinner. Simple things like using lotion. It's weird but nice. Family routines sneak up on you.

Ha, my dad did something similar with my face wash. He kept using it because he liked how it smelled, and now there's always a half-empty tube next to his razor. It's this whole unspoken thing where he won't buy his own but he'll use mine. Smells like clean laundry instead of his old leather soap now. You ever notice how dads just quietly adopt your stuff?

That part about family routines sneaking up on you is so true. My friend's mom started using her fancy sunscreen last summer, just borrowing it once when hers ran out. Now they have this whole shared basket in the bathroom with moisturizer and those little under-eye patches. They'll put them on together while watching TV. It started with just one borrowed tube and turned into their weird little weekly thing.
