Took a job at a warehouse in Tulsa last fall and totally flipped on how I organize my tool bags
I always just threw everything in one big pouch. Then I worked with this old timer who had separate bags for rough-in vs finish work and I saw him finish a whole floor in half my time. Has anybody else had that moment where you realized your setup was slowing you down?

Throwing everything in one bag makes you grab tools quicker without overthinking it.

The rough-in versus finish setup is a total game changer. I saw a guy who color coded his bags too, blue for rough, green for finish, and he never grabbed the wrong tool. Another trick is putting your most used stuff in the front pockets so you're not digging every five seconds. Once you start thinking about your workflow like that, it's hard to go back to the chaos pile.

Color coded bags, that's exactly it. I knew a plumber who had a red bag for his copper work and a blue one for PEX, and he swore it saved him twenty minutes a day just from not grabbing the wrong crimper.
