Everyone swore by Trello for project management but it made me lose track of 12 tasks in 2 weeks

My buddy at the co-op kept pushing Trello as the only way to organize freelance work, but after I spent a whole Saturday setting up 8 boards and still missed a client deliverable on Monday, I realized kanban style just doesn't work for my brain and I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with a tool that just didn't click for them.

Did you read that thing about Trello actually being designed for software teams and not regular planning?

Wait, but isn't a to-do list basically the same thing no matter who you are though? Trello just gives you cards and lists and you can use them however you want @webb.hannah, like I use it for meal planning and it works fine.

Yeah but I kinda see it the opposite way @robin896. Trello's just simple enough that anyone can make it work, software teams just happened to be the ones who needed it first. I've got friends who use it for wedding planning and it beats most actual planning apps.
