Just realized I hit 50 repeat clients without even noticing
I was going through my books last night for tax stuff and counted back through my client list. Turns out 50 people have hired me more than once over the last 2 years. That number surprised me because I always feel like I'm chasing new work. For context I do freelance copywriting for small ecommerce shops in Austin. Has anyone else hit a milestone like this that made you stop and rethink how you track your business?

Wow I read an article about this EXACT thing in a freelancer newsletter last week! It said most of us totally underestimate our repeat business because we're so focused on the next new client. That number is HUGE for only two years though. I bet those repeat clients are probably your easiest work too since they already know how you operate. Maybe you should track that number more often because it sounds like you're building something real without even realizing it. That kind of loyalty is harder to get than people think.

Huh, I mean it's cool and all but are we really acting like a few repeat clients is some kind of groundbreaking business revelation? Feels a little much for something that pretty much anyone with a decent gig would have happen eventually.
