Cable management exploded after I tripped over a power strip last Wednesday

I was rushing to a Zoom call in my tiny Brooklyn apartment and caught my foot on a nest of cables under my desk. Ended up pulling my monitor off the edge and cracking the screen. Has anyone else had a clumsy moment force a home office redesign?

Blame whoever you want, but the real culprit is how people set up their desks like some kind of tangled nerve center. Every cord running everywhere is just asking for trouble. If you trip, that's on you a bit. But having cables strung across walking paths is asking for something bad to happen. It's not about blaming the cables, it's about being honest that your setup was a hazard. Trip happens, but a redesign might actually save you a cracked screen next time.
