After helping with a pallet wood bench, I have some concerns
We sourced the pallets from behind a grocery store. The wood was rough and needed extensive sanding. Is this type of project generally reliable for long-term use?

Wait, seriously? Tbh @webb.hannah, it gets to a point where you're not even sure what you're sanding anymore. You'll get one spot smooth, turn the piece, and find a whole new patch that feels like concrete. I swear the dust gets in your ears for days. Honestly feels like the bench will be finished by our grandkids at this rate.

Notice how the dust seems to linger, but it's not really in your ears for days, @pat_harris. A good rinse usually gets it out pretty quick, honestly. The endless sanding feeling is real, though (sigh).
