inTalking to my dad about his old framing square made me realize something
Timed lockbox is an interesting idea. How long would you set the timer for, and what happens if you REALLY need to look something up mid-project? Feels like it could backfire if you're stuck.

inWarning: My 'simple' DIY soundproofing project for my home office turned into a 3-day foam puzzle nightmare
Oh man, that bass is the worst... I tried the egg carton thing in my first apartment, what a joke. It just made the room look like a sad craft project and did nothing for the guy upstairs who wore boots all day. You end up learning that stopping sound is a whole different beast than just... covering a wall with stuff.

inRemember when we all used to mix our own shaving cream from a puck?
My old man used a brush and mug his whole life, swore by it. I tried keeping that up for about six months after he passed, felt like a nice tribute. But honestly, shaving became a 15 minute chore instead of a 3 minute task. The foam can gets me out the door faster, and the shave is fine. I don't miss the extra cleanup either.

inMy friend who runs a print shop said he'd rather I use a bone folder than any metal tool for scoring, which got me thinking about my whole process.
Right? The simple tool is always the best.

inPSA: A client in Nashville promised a $2,500 bonus for a fast turnaround, then ghosted when the work was done.
The real trick is making that limit feel real before you hit it. I put the cash for my limit in an envelope and hand it to a friend. Once it's gone, they won't give me more for that idea. Watching actual money leave your hand hits different than just seeing a number change in your account. It turns a soft rule into a hard stop.
