Bought a $30 silicone air fryer liner and it melted on first use
I got a pack of those silicone liners from Amazon thinking they'd save on cleanup after making chicken wings. Put one in at 400°F and it came out a warped, sticky mess that took forever to scrub off the basket. Anyone else had bad luck with these things or did I just buy the wrong kind?

Did you check the temp rating on them? I heard most of those cheap silicone liners can't handle over 375 or they start melting.

Most of those cheap silicone liners can't handle over 375" - that's actually closer to the truth for the really low-end stuff, but I've seen plenty of budget liners that claim 450-500F and hold up fine in my oven. The real issue is quality control, not the price tag, since even some cheap Amazon brands pass legit ASTM testing for high heat. If you're worried about melting, just do a quick test on a baking sheet at 400F for 10 minutes and watch for any warping or smell before trusting them with food.

Did you double check the box? I had the same thing happen, and @charlie198 is right about some of them saying they're good to 450 but really not being safe above 375. I tried a different brand that passed some actual testing, no issues at 400 since then.
