I finally went to that new kitchen store on Maple Avenue
They had a whole wall of air fryers, but the recipes they had printed out were all for frozen junk like nuggets and fries. I asked an employee for a good veggie recipe and he just shrugged. What do you guys actually cook from scratch in yours?

Honestly air fryers are so overrated for real cooking. They just make everything taste like a dry version of what you could make better in an oven.

Toss in some chopped broccoli, bell peppers, and onion with a little oil and garlic powder. It comes out way better than steamed. I also make crispy chickpeas from a can for snacks.

Roasting veggies like that is a total game changer. Tried it with cauliflower last week and it got actually crispy on the edges. The chickpea idea is solid too, though mine always stick to the pan if I don't use enough oil.

Oh man, the sticking thing is real. I had that problem with chickpeas too until I started drying them off way more. Like, I put them on a towel and really pat them down before I toss them in oil. A little cornstarch mixed in helps a ton for crispiness without needing a ton of oil. I do that with cauliflower sometimes too... makes it almost like little nuggets.
