Shoutout to the frozen french fry bag that lied about cook time

The bag said 12 minutes at 400 degrees, so I set it and walked away. Came back to pale, soggy fries that were nowhere near done. I ended up having to shake them and run them for another 15 minutes, which felt like forever. The whole thing took almost half an hour when it should have been quick. Has anyone else found that frozen fries need way longer in the air fryer than the package says?

Honestly, I have the opposite problem. My fries always cook faster than the bag says. If I go the full time at that high heat, they come out burnt. I have to check them early and shake them halfway. Maybe it's a difference in air fryer models or how full you load the basket.

Try a lower temp for the full time.
