Shoutout to Crunchyroll for that $99 yearly plan

I was paying $8 a month for the basic Crunchyroll plan for like 2 years straight never thought about it. Then I saw they had a yearly option for $99 and did the math that saves me like $3 a month not huge but still. I pulled the trigger back in January and honestly it's nice not having that monthly charge pop up. Has anyone else switched to yearly and found it worth it or do you prefer month to month?

Ngl your math's a little off, $8 a month is $96 for the year so yearly saves you $3 total not per month. But I feel you on not having that monthly charge pop up, it's a small win but it adds up over time. Honestly the yearly plan is worth it just for the peace of mind of not thinking about it.

Agree with you on the yearly plan being more about peace of mind than the actual savings. I did the math myself and yeah it's only a few bucks but honestly my brain just works better when I don't have another subscription popping up each month. It makes me feel like I actually own the service instead of renting it if that makes sense. I think a lot of people underestimate how much those monthly renewals drain your mental energy too. Once you stack a few of these annual plans together you barely think about them for a whole year. Its a small win but it compounds nicely over time.

Idk, is it really that deep though? I get not wanting another monthly charge, but saying it drains your mental energy feels a little dramatic. Like, I just set up auto pay and forget about it, it's not something I actively think about. Maybe it's just me, but once you get past maybe two or three subscriptions the brain space thing stops mattering either way.
