That one customer who watched me work for 20 minutes without saying a word
I was swapping out a dishwasher control board at a house in Oak Park last Tuesday. The homeowner just stood in the doorway, arms crossed, not asking a single question the whole time. When I finished and tested the cycle, she just nodded and handed me a $50 tip. I still think about that sometimes because most people either hover with questions or disappear entirely.

Watch people work sometimes because they don't know what to say or ask. Most folks just get nervous about looking stupid or interrupting. A quiet nod and a tip sounds more like relief it got fixed than respect.
