I tweaked a family recipe and now sell it as my signature bake
Is that right or just good for business?

Look at how most food actually gets made though. A ton of restaurants and bakeries start with a classic base and put their own spin on it. Changing one key spice or the type of sugar can totally change the feel of a bake. If you're the one testing it and getting it to work consistently for selling, that's real work. The story is part of it, but the actual tweak is what makes it reliable for a business.

Yeah the "signature bake" thing is everywhere now. It feels like half my feed is people taking their grandma's cookie recipe, swapping one spice, and calling it a business. It's smart for making money but it does make me wonder how much actually has to change before it's truly yours. I see this same pattern with candles, sauces, you name it. Everyone's tweaking something old and selling the story with it.

I used to think a tweak was enough to call it yours. But @the_emma, your post has me seeing it's mostly about the story we sell.
