Had a guy bring in a picture of his cat for a haircut reference yesterday
He was completely serious, pointing out the fur pattern around the ears. I gave him a standard fade and told him the cat's look was 'advanced'. Anyone ever get a request that made you pause the clippers?

Had a lady bring in a photo of a pineapple once. She wanted the top leaves left long and the sides shaved close to mimic the texture. Managed something spiky, but it was a wild request. Clients get creative sometimes lol.

That pineapple story is something else. Reminds me of a guy who wanted his beard trimmed to look like tree bark, complete with little lines and everything. He brought in a picture of an oak tree. Had to use a few different clipper guards and a steady hand. People really do see their hair as a blank canvas sometimes.
