Saw a sign at a coffee shop in Austin that changed how I talk about my rate.
They had a simple chalkboard listing 'coffee: $4, coffee + 30 min quiet work: $8'. It made me realize I should price my time in clear blocks, not just hourly. Anyone else break their services into set packages like that?

75 bucks just for a quote feels like paying for the privilege of being sold to. Did your buddy at least get a snack or a coffee with that fee?
