QuickBooks auto-pay setting that saved me 2 hours of follow-up every week

Found this by accident about 3 months ago when I was setting up a new account for a landscaping job in Phoenix. Under the recurring transactions menu there's a toggle for "auto send payment reminder" that I never noticed before. Set it to 3 days before due date and 1 day after. Now clients pay on time like 80% of the time. Has anyone else found hidden settings in their billing software that made a big difference?

Has your version got the batch invoice feature hidden under the reports tab? I stumbled on that one last year. You can select like 20 invoices at once and email them all with a single click. Saves me at least 45 minutes every month compared to sending them one by one. Idk why they bury useful stuff in such random menus.

I see it differently though @casey342 - why should I have to go digging through a reports tab to find basic invoice functions? That's exactly the kind of menu maze that drives me crazy. Isn't the whole point of software updates to make things more obvious, not less?

Totally agree with you @the_rose on this one. Good software should put the stuff you need right in front of you, not make you hunt for it like a treasure map. I get that companies want menus to look clean, but burying useful features kills the whole point of having them. That batch invoice thing casey342 mentioned sounds great, but if I have to go digging under reports to find it, I'd probably never know it was there. It's frustrating when you pay for a tool and feel like you're missing out on half its potential because the layout makes no sense.
