Just heard a guy at the game store say he alphabetizes his games by designer's middle name.
It made me wonder what other weird organization systems people have. Does anyone else have a truly bizarre way they sort their collection?

Oh man, that's nothing. I knew a guy who sorted his entire DVD collection by the lead actor's birth month. Like, January birthdays up front, all the way to December in the back. He said it made for "interesting thematic pairings" but honestly it just meant Nicholas Cage was always next to a documentary about penguins. It was a mess to find anything. People get so creative, and sometimes it's just to make their own private chaos.

Yeah that's wild. I just gave up and put all mine in big bins by genre, action movies in one, comedies in another. Still takes a minute to dig through but at least I know the general area.

What kind of person even has time for that? That birth month system sounds like a nightmare to use, milesbarnes has the right idea keeping it simple. Some people just want to feel smart by making things way harder than they need to be. I'd lose my mind trying to find a movie.
