Man, I feel your pain, my suspension went out hitting a monster crater on 95 last year.

Yeah, "monster crater" is the perfect way to describe it (I swear some of those potholes on 95 could swallow a Smart car whole). I ended up needing new struts and an alignment after mine, which set me back almost 800 bucks at a shop near Richmond. It's wild how one bad bump can just wreck your whole day and your wallet at the same time.

I paid nearly 900 dollars for new struts and an alignment after one of those craters on 95 near the Fredericksburg exit. The shop did a decent job, but my steering wheel still pulls a little to the right if I hit a bump on a curve. Guess that's just the tax for living in Virginia and driving on roads that look like the moon.

Monster crater" is right. Did the shop actually manage to fix it properly, or are you still feeling that bump in the steering wheel every time you hit a crack? I ask because I've heard way too many stories about quick fixes that leave you with a wandering alignment six months later.
