Hit my 365th daily log entry this morning

I started bullet journaling in January and told myself I would stick with it for a full year. This morning I realized I hit 365 entries in a row without missing a day. I used to think daily logging was a waste because I felt like nothing happened most days, but seeing the pattern of small stuff add up really changed my mind. Did anyone else hit a number that made them rethink their whole system?

You said 'the real win is the habit sticking' but honestly I gotta push back on that. If the numbers are off then the whole thing falls apart for me. Like if you're saying 365 but it's really 340 or whatever then you're just rounding up to make yourself feel good. That's not a real streak, that's just lying to yourself about your own system. The whole point of tracking is accuracy right? So if you can't even get the count right then what's the point of any of it. I'd rather have a solid 200 day streak with real honest numbers than a fake 365 day one. Yeah consistency matters but the math has to check out or you're just playing pretend.

365 days is a SOLID run, no question. But you gotta check yourself on the math real quick. A full year is 365 days, yeah, but you said you started in January. If you started January 1st, that's only 365 entries if today is exactly December 31st. If it's a random day in the middle of the year, youre actually counting some extra days or you started in the middle of the year and its been a full calendar year since then. Either way, the number itself is still a beast, dont get me wrong. The real win is the habit sticking for that long, especially when life gets in the way. Ive had streaks die after three months because I got the flu or just forgot, so keeping it alive for a full cycle of seasons is impressive no matter the exact count.

Fair point @sullivan.quinn. Numbers are nice but sticking with it through all the ups and downs is the real story.

wait hold on you started in January and hit 365 entries THIS MORNING?? That math is kind of throwing me off unless you started counting from some random day in the middle of January and it's now December. Or did you do a full calendar year from say January 15th to January 15th of next year? I'm not trying to be that person who nitpicks but I really gotta know because 365 is such a huge round number and if it's actually like 350 or 340 I'd still be super impressed but the exact 365 just seems too perfect unless you planned it that way. Like if it's legit from Jan 1 to Dec 31 then that's insane dedication but if it's just a rough count then I'm still happy for you but I need the context. I've been bullet journaling for two years and never hit a clean 365 so I'm honestly a little jealous.
