My old biscuit joiner gave up on a big built-in job last Friday

I was putting together a set of maple cabinets for a kitchen remodel, and the motor just quit halfway through a cut. It was a Porter-Cable model I've had for maybe 15 years. I had to finish the joints with dowels, which took an extra day. Anyone have a good biscuit joiner they've been happy with lately?

I used to fix my own tools but a bad repair cost me more than a new one. Now I just buy quality and run them until they die. The DeWalt has been solid for me.

Oh man, that's rough timing. My old one died last year and I tried to fix it myself. Made it way worse, ended up just buying a new one.

Same thing happened to me, my repair attempt just turned it into a paperweight.

Just get the DeWalt, it's a tank.
