Just realized I billed over $4,000 in a single month for the first time
It happened last month, mostly from a few big one-time deep clean jobs. I'm torn between feeling proud of hitting a real business number and worried it's a fluke I can't repeat. For those who run their own thing, how do you tell a lucky month from a real turning point?

Look at where those jobs came from like @the_faith said. I tracked my leads and doubled down on what worked, which turned my lucky month into a normal one.

Honestly that's a huge number to hit. The thing nobody talks about is how you got those jobs in the first place. Was it word of mouth from past clients, or did you run an ad that finally worked? Look at the source of the work, not just the money. If it came from a system you built, like asking for referrals, that's repeatable. If it was just random luck, then maybe it's a one off. But either way, you now know you can handle that level of work and charge those prices.

Ngl my first big month felt like I'd tricked the system somehow. I spent the next three months waiting for someone to call and say there'd been a mistake. Honestly, you gotta look at why it happened like they said. If you can point to a real reason, like a new way you got clients, then you can try to do that again on purpose. If it was just a bunch of random one-offs, then yeah it might be a happy accident. But even a fluke proves you can pull it off, which is half the battle.
