Warning: That $800 'career accelerator' course I bought was a total waste

I signed up for a program called 'Career Launch Pro' last year, thinking it would help me switch into tech. All I got was a bunch of generic PDFs and three group calls with a hundred other people. It felt like they just repackaged free advice from the internet. Has anyone found a real mentor or course that actually helped them make a move?

What's worse, buying a course like that or still having the folder of PDFs on my desktop as a shameful reminder? I fell for a similar thing that promised to teach coding but was just a list of free resources. It's tough to find real help when so much out there is just repackaged junk.

Oh man, I feel that deep in my soul. I dropped a few hundred on a 'digital marketing masterclass' that was just a guy reading bullet points off slides I could have found on a blog. The worst part was the 'exclusive community' that was just a dead Facebook group full of other lost people. It really makes you second guess every ad you see now.

Ugh that "exclusive community" thing is such a red flag now. I got burned too and my rule is if they don't show REAL student results or let you talk to past buyers, run. I always check for a refund policy before clicking anything. If they hide it or only give you 24 hours, it's a scam. Now I only trust courses where the teacher actually shows their own work, not just theory.
