That client who wanted me to 'fix the mice problem' without touching the walls

Had a lady in Austin last summer who had mice running through her kitchen every night, but she refused to let me seal any entry points because she 'didn't want holes in her drywall.' She expected me to just set traps and somehow keep them out forever. I explained three times that trapping without exclusion is just a game of whack-a-mole, but she wouldn't budge. Anyone else run into people who want a miracle cure but won't let you do the actual work?

Expect people to want magic fixes without lifting a finger every single time.

Isn't that just the pattern with diets and get rich quick stuff too, @webb.hannah?

The "without lifting a finger" part is exactly what gets people every time. I've watched friends jump from keto to juice cleanses to crypto, each time thinking this one will be the easy fix. What actually works is picking one small sustainable change and sticking with it for 90 days before adding anything else.

The "one small sustainable change" thing is so real. I swapped my afternoon soda for sparkling water with lime and after three months I didn't even miss the sugar. What change did you start with?
