That one time a simple delivery turned into a three-day ordeal

Had a load of auto parts that needed a signature from the receiving manager, who was 'in a meeting' for eight hours straight. I was stuck at their gate in Toledo for a full shift, then had to come back the next two mornings before I caught him. Ever have a hold-up that was just one person playing hard to get?

Man, does that ever bring back a bad memory. I had a nearly identical thing happen with a pallet of industrial cleaner. The warehouse foreman just vanished into his office and his crew said they couldn't touch it without him. Sat there from lunchtime until they literally turned the yard lights off on me. What is it with people who get a tiny bit of power and just love to make you wait?

Ugh that's brutal @alexpalmer... but like, was the cleaner gonna go bad or something? Seems like a weird hill for him to die on.

That "weird hill to die on" @skyler_johnson32 is sometimes just someone trying to do their job right.

Honestly, I've waited so long for signatures I started to worry my pen would run out of ink.
