Shoutout to the guy who told me to start with Python

My cousin, a software dev, said to skip HTML and go straight to Python for logic. I built a simple number guesser in a weekend, way more fun than just making web pages look okay. Anyone else find starting with a real programming language kept you more interested?

Yeah, starting with HTML is like learning to paint a fence before you can build the house. Python actually lets you make things that do stuff, which is the whole point. Your cousin gave you solid advice.

Wasn't there some study that said people stick with coding if their first project moves or reacts? Python's way better for that.

Paint a fence before you build the house" is a perfect way to put it, @mason_murray8. I tried starting with HTML and got so bored making pretty boxes that did nothing. Switching to Python and making a dumb little number guesser game felt like actual magic.
