Paid my card every Friday for 3 months and saw a real difference
I got sick of my FICO score bouncing around 620-640 every month, so I started paying my credit card balance every Friday instead of waiting for the statement. No big paycheck moves, just small weekly payments of $50 to $100. After 90 days my score hit 689, which is the highest it's been in like 5 years. Has anyone else tried weekly payments and noticed a bigger jump than expected?

Capitalizing every word is how I got through reading this.

Oh dude that's wild, I did the exact same thing and saw almost the same jump. I was stuck around 630 for like a year then started doing weekly payments of $75 and hit 680 in just 2 months. I think the trick is keeping your utilization low all the time instead of just on statement date. Like your card never looks maxed out because you're constantly paying it down.

Interesting, so are you saying the credit bureaus are looking at your balance more than once a month now? I thought they only reported what you owed on the statement date. If theyre actually checking the balance more often then that changes everything about how Ive been managing my cards.
