Pro tip: My credit score went from 620 to 690 in about four months
I started paying my card down to 10% of the limit before the statement even cuts. Anyone else see a big jump from just that one habit?

Yeah I read somewhere that missing a payment is one of the worst things for your score. It's like they weigh that super heavy compared to other stuff. I mean it makes sense from their side, they want to see if you'll pay on time. But it feels harsh for one slip up. I guess the system just isn't built for mistakes. Takes forever to build it back up too.

Ugh it's brutal. They treat a single late payment like you're a total deadbeat, even if you've paid on time for years before that. The whole system feels so unforgiving for normal people.
