I used to swear by free password managers until I got hit with a data breach last August.
Bitwarden was fine for years, but after that LastPass mess I finally switched to a paid 1Password subscription and the difference in security features like Travel Mode and the secret key is night and day. Has anyone else made the jump from free to paid for something like this?

night and day" seems like a stretch. Still just trusting someone else not to mess up.

Wait, the mechanic was the one who RECOMMENDED himself? That's wild. People really do that?

Funny you say that @milesbarnes, but has anyone actually looked at who's doing the trusting here? The whole thing falls apart if you consider that the person you're trusting might be the same person who sold you on trusting someone else in the first place. Like when my cousin paid a "recommended" mechanic to fix his brakes, only to find out the guy was the one who recommended himself through a fake review. Same logic applies here - you're just one layer removed from the same problem.
