Finally stopped using wire nuts on everything after 15 years
I used to swear by wire nuts for every connection in every panel I touched. Then I did a service upgrade on a house in Tampa back in March where the homeowner specifically asked for Wagos after he had a nut corrode on his AC disconnect. I figured why fight the customer, so I tried them on the whole job. Honestly they saved me about 20 minutes on that panel alone and I haven't looked back since. Anyone else make the switch and find a specific brand or type that holds up better in hot attics?

Man those lever Wagos saved me a headache last summer, not even kidding. I had a buddy who swore by the push-ins and he did a whole panel in July where the heat made the plastic so soft that three of the connections just popped out when he was closing the cover. He had to redo half the panel. I told him to try the 221s with the yellow lever and he said it felt like night and day. Only thing I hate is when you drop one in the dirt and the little lever gets all gritty.

Yo have you tried the Wago 221 series yet? Those lever nuts are way better than the push-in style for hot attics cause they dont loosen up over time. The 221s also let you check your connection by just flipping the lever back open, which saved my ass last month when I realized I crossed a neutral on a subpanel. Just make sure you get the ones with the yellow lever for solid wire, the orange ones are fine but Ive had the orange levers snap off in colder weather.

Orange levers snapping in cold weather is exactly why I stick with the yellow ones.
