Bold subject line vs. polite opener - which one works better for cold emailing clients?
I tested two templates for a client outreach campaign last month, one with a direct "Quick question about your Q4 goals" subject and another with "Hope you're having a great week". The bold one got twice the open rate but the polite one got more replies. Has anyone else noticed this trade off and how do you pick which to use?

Timing matters way more than tone in my experience, especially with decision makers.

3pm on a Tuesday or bust, honestly.

@sethm58 3pm on a Tuesday is the magic hour, no question. I've had deals that were dead in the water at 10am on a Monday somehow come back to life with a well-timed Tuesday afternoon message. It's like people are finally settled into their week but haven't hit that Thursday panic yet. Timing is honestly half the battle (maybe more than half, if we're being real). Hannah's point about timing over tone nails it too - you can have the perfect words but if you send them at the wrong moment, it's just noise.
