Client's acne scars faded way more than I expected after 3 microneedling sessions
I had this one client with pretty deep boxcar scars on her cheeks. We did three sessions about 5 weeks apart using a 1.5mm needle depth. The difference between her first visit and after the third session was honestly shocking, the scars are maybe 60% less visible now. She didn't even do anything fancy after, just a basic hyaluronic serum and sunscreen. Has anyone else seen this kind of result with a simple microneedling routine?

Read a dermatologist saying the key is actually the body's healing response, not the needles themselves... that the collagen remodeling takes weeks after. Sounds like your client's skin really kicked into gear after those sessions. The 5 week spacing is smart too, gives the collagen time to actually rebuild instead of rushing it. 60% reduction on boxcar scars is impressive for just three rounds, usually takes more passes with deeper scars.

Is that what really makes the difference though? I did some research before trying microneedling and honestly that healing phase is where all the magic happens for me too. Not just the collagen remodeling like you said @fionanguyen, but I swear my skin gets this glow for like a month after each session as it rebuilds. I had some stubborn rolling scars on my cheeks and spacing mine out 6 weeks apart got me about 50% improvement after four rounds, which is way better than when I tried rushing it every 3 weeks and barely saw anything.
