Saw a spa in Austin offering a 'one size fits all' facial package

I was checking out a new spa on South Congress last month and their main menu item was a single, set facial for every guest. They said it saves time and keeps things simple, but I think that misses the whole point of our job. How can you properly address someone's skin without a real consultation first?

Seriously, that's not just lazy, it's a legal risk waiting to happen. What if someone has a bad reaction to an ingredient they didn't ask about? A one size fits all approach ignores allergies, medical conditions, and even medications that change your skin. They're basically asking for a lawsuit when someone breaks out in hives or has a bad peel. It saves them time now but could cost them everything later.

Can you even call that a real facial then?

Totally get where @lisas78 is coming from. I used to think a basic menu was fine for speed, but hollyscott is right about the risk. Skipping a real check-in is just asking for trouble with allergies and stuff.
