Went to an open house in a 55+ community and saw something alarming

I visited a condo in The Villages last weekend and three different units had water damage under the kitchen sinks with no disclosure. These weren't cheap properties either, starting around $225k. Do they think first time buyers just won't notice the soft wood or do they really think we don't hire inspectors? Has anyone else found hidden damage during a showing?

Oh please, three units with water damage and suddenly it's a conspiracy? Maybe those buyers should've looked under the sink before making an offer. $225k in The Villages is a steal, you get what you pay for. Old pipes leak, that's just life in a 55+ community where things have been sitting around for years. If someone skips an inspection over a few hundred bucks, that's on them, not the seller. The real alarm is people expecting brand new everything for a bargain price in a retirement town built in the 1970s.

That $225k price tag is actually low for The Villages, most stuff there goes for way more. But three units with hidden water damage on the same street sounds like a bigger problem, maybe bad plumbing from the same builder. They're definitely hoping someone falls in love with the place and skips the inspection to save a few hundred bucks. Did you call the listing agent out on it or just walk away?

Sounds like bad plumbing runs through that whole street honestly.
