Sat in my car for 20 minutes after a bad client call last Tuesday

I was parked outside a Starbucks in Brooklyn just staring at my phone after a guy on Fiverr tried to lowball me for a logo redesign. He wanted 5 versions for $30 and I realized I need to stop accepting garbage offers just to get reviews. Has anyone else had a moment where you just decided to walk away from a bad gig?

35 logos for $30 changed my whole view on undervaluing work.

Yeah @the_lucas, I had a similar wake up call when I did a bunch of logo concepts for next to nothing. It took me like 10 hours total and I realized I was basically paying to work for people. After that I started charging a flat rate per project and it made a huge difference in how I valued my time.

That business about paying to work for people really hits home, @the_lucas, I once did a deck job for the cost of materials just to keep busy.
