That $300 project management tool nearly sank my whole year
I dropped $300 on a fancy Trello alternative thinking it would organize my freelance graphic design work better but it just made everything harder to find and I lost a client because I missed their deadline in the mess. Anyone else get burned by paying for software that just made things worse?

Did you see that piece someone wrote about how most task apps are just checklists with better fonts? Read that after I wasted money on a similar tool.

Man I feel that... dropped $250 on a "lightning fast" task app and spent more time trying to figure out how to tag things than actually working. Missed two deadlines for a regular client before I finally bailed on it and went back to a plain text file.
