Chat with a client made me rethink my whole keyword strategy
A client who runs a local bakery in Austin told me last week that nobody searches for "best bread in Austin" - they search "sourdough near me" at 7am. Made me realize I've been too focused on volume keywords instead of intent.

Wait, people are actually searching for "sourdough near me" at 7am? Like, right when they're probably still half asleep and craving toast or something? That's wild but honestly makes total sense when you think about it...

Actually, who's buying bread at 7am anyway? Are these people planning breakfast or just waking up and going straight into carb mode? Right when you're groggy and haven't even had coffee yet, sourdough is the first thing on your mind? That seems like a specific type of person - maybe someone who meal preps or bakes themselves but forgot to grab a loaf the night before. Or is it just pure impulse because you smell it as you walk past a bakery? I'm curious what the actual purchase looks like - are they buying a whole loaf for the week or just a single slice for immediate toast?

Frrr I've been that groggy person frantically googling bakeries at dumb o'clock just wanting that perfect crispy warm slice. It's a real mood and I feel so called out rn lol.

And here I thought 7am was just for regret and thinking about coffee. Guess I've been keyword-optimizing my life all wrong, lol.
