Still can't believe I used to track expenses on a napkin
Back in 2019 I was freelancing as a delivery driver in Nashville and I'd just scribble my gas receipts on whatever was around. Got audited by the IRS last spring and spent 40 hours digging through old photos trying to prove my mileage. Now I use a basic app that logs every trip automatically. Took me a full year to switch over because I thought it was too expensive at $10 a month. Has anyone else had a tax scare that made them finally get organized?

Check engine light" is a stretch. It's just taxes. Not that serious.

Funny how we all need a good scare to fix things that were obvious in hindsight.

Right? It's like we hit snooze on everything until the alarm gets loud enough. People wait for the check engine light to start blinking before they even think about looking under the hood. Human nature I guess, just kicking the can down the road.
