Why does nobody talk about the cheap screen protectors from the mall kiosk?
I was at the mall last week and the guy at the phone case kiosk told me his $8 screen protector uses the same glass as the $40 brand name ones. He let me feel the edge and it was just as smooth. I bought one for my old phone to test it and after a month, it hasn't scratched at all. Has anyone else tried those generic ones and had them actually hold up?

Honestly, I've bought so many of those cheap ones I've probably funded the kiosk guy's vacation. They always work fine until I drop my phone and they do their one job.

My mall kiosk guy uses the same line, but his $5 protector cracked from just going in my pocket.
