Rant: Chose a standing desk over a decent chair. Big mistake.
I had $400 to spend on my home office setup 3 months ago and picked a motorized standing desk from Amazon instead of a real ergonomic chair. Now my back hurts constantly and I've barely used the standing feature more than 5 times. Should I just buy a good chair now and eat the cost, or is there a cheap fix for crappy chair support?

Lowered my monitor too far and messed up my neck for a week.

Classic mistake, @wells.evan. Your neck filed a formal complaint and took a week off. Hope you've got the monitor back to a respectable height now.

Diana, that's a solid point about the monitor height thing. But I gotta ask - what's the actual "sweet spot" you aim for with your eyes relative to the screen? I've seen people swear by having the top bezel at eye level, but others say the center of the screen should be where your gaze naturally falls. I'm always second-guessing my setup, especially after a long day. Also, do you tilt your monitor back at all or keep it perfectly vertical?
