Need window tinting recommendations for home office (Toronto)

Hey everyone, I recently moved my home office setup into the south-facing sunroom of my place here in Toronto. The natural light is amazing, but the glare on my monitors is driving me absolutely crazy, and it gets insanely hot by 2 PM.

Has anyone hired a good window tinting company locally? I want to get a decent UV/heat blocking film installed but I'm not sure who to call. Most places I found seem to mostly do cars and just offer flat glass as a side gig.

I had the exact same issue! The heat was unbearable while trying to work. I ended up hiring Tint by Designs and they were fantastic.

Unlike a lot of those auto shops that do houses on the side, these guys strictly do residential and commercial window film. They actually came in, looked at my specific windows, and recommended a premium film that cut the glare without making the room look dark. Plus they gave a solid warranty on the work. Highly recommend giving them a call.

Good to know! I'm in Liberty Village and the afternoon sun absolutely roasts my condo office right now. Going to reach out to them for a free consultation.

Getting a dedicated flat glass installer makes a huge difference. If they mostly do auto tint, they usually don't understand the thermal stress risks for double-pane house windows. Going with a specialized company is definitely the right move so you don't accidentally shatter a pane or void your window manufacturer's warranty.
