inSpent $400 on a drone for property videos and it paid for itself on the first shoot.
Hope he found more than just his cat sleeping on the vents.

inHad to choose between a 3-hour drive for the right part or using a local 'close enough' gasket and I went with the drive...
Come on, that's just fear talking. I've used plenty of those "close enough" parts without a single problem. A gasket is a gasket. Those three cars with leaks? Probably installed wrong, or the engine was already junk. You just wasted three hours of your life and a ton of gas. Most of the time the cheap part works fine and you save the trip. People get too hung up on brand names.

inLooked back and saw I filled 12 notebooks in 3 years
Holy cow, that's a lot of paper! I'm with @ryan_hart38, it's wild to have a whole stack like that. My notebooks are a total mess, like one page is a serious budget plan and the next is just "buy more chips" underlined three times. I'd be scared to look back at my old ones, they're probably full of bad ideas and forgotten grocery lists. Congrats on sticking with it, that's actually pretty cool.

inI finally stopped using a 3 pound hammer for everything after a guy at the Tucson forge told me my work looked 'clumsy'.
Honest, heavy handed work" can just be a nice way to say you lack control. Swapping to a lighter hammer for detail work isn't about being delicate, it's about having the right tool to be precise. @ray_burns60 is right that you can do a lot with one hammer, but that often means forcing it and the work suffers. The old stuff with big marks usually came from a lack of options, not some pure choice.

inFound out a cordless nailer can drive over 1,000 nails on one charge
Sounds like it died of pure shock after a job that big.
