inMy neighbor's chimney liner failed after just one winter.
Actually, when you talk about cutting corners, I see your point. But with the chimney liner, it's more about missing a crucial step like sealing it right. My cousin did his own liner but spent extra on high temp mortar and it's fine. It's not always DIY that's the problem, it's knowing which parts can't be skipped.

inStuck waiting weeks for drawing approvals since going remote.
Try sending your boss a digital markup with those little sticky note comments (you know, the kind they love to overuse) and then wait for it to sit in their inbox like a forgotten sandwich. I swear, my last revision request spent more time in "review" than it took me to draw the whole thing. It's like they miss having the paper roll to physically whack against a desk.

inUsed to skip sealing around ducts. A surprise high bill made me change.
Hey, that giant gap you found is such a common issue. It's wild how much warm air just escapes through those spots. I had a similar problem where my living room was always cold no matter what. Checking all the ducts took some time but it was totally worth it. Now I make it a habit to look for leaks before winter hits. It saves so much money and keeps the house actually comfortable.

inKeeping board game bits sorted with a wall pegboard
Last summer, I finally put up a pegboard after years of putting it off. Those clear jars really do keep all the small parts from getting lost. You'll be glad you took the time to set it up right.

inJust realized I was cheering for the bad guy in Ozark
Shows just mirror how we talk ourselves into poor choices.
