My mail carrier and I started trading plants after a quick garden chat

I was trimming my rose bushes last week. My mail carrier saw them and stopped to say hello. She told me she grows herbs in pots on her balcony. I gave her a few rose cuttings to try at home. She brought me some basil and mint plants the next day. Now we swap plants and tips all the time. It's fun how a love for plants can make new friends.

TIL that moving a heavy load showed me why VR should feel awkward

Last week, I was hauling a full bucket of mix across a job site, and it was slow going with every step. That evening, I hopped into a VR world where grabbing things had real weight and sometimes they fumbled in my hands. Most folks I know complain when VR physics aren't smooth, saying it breaks the fun. But after that day, I actually like when virtual stuff feels a bit clumsy and hard to handle. In one space, I tried to lift a big crate and it tipped over, spilling items I had to pick up one by one. It was annoying at first, but then it hooked me because it reminded me of real messes. Now I seek out VR worlds that keep some of that janky feel instead of making everything perfect. That little bit of hassle makes the whole place seem more like a place I could actually be.
