I finally stopped doing free revisions for my biggest client
For about 8 months, I had this one client who would ask for "one small change" after every deliverable. I always said yes because I was afraid to lose their business. Then last quarter, I noticed they took up 40% of my time but only paid for 25% of my workload. I finally sent them a revised contract with a limit of two revisions per project and a fee for anything extra. They pushed back hard at first, but I held my ground. To my surprise, they agreed and now our work together actually runs smoother. Has anyone else had luck setting revision limits with a difficult client?

That's a tough spot to be in, but good on you for sticking up for yourself. It's easy to let one big client walk all over you when you're worried about the money. Glad it worked out and actually made things better for both of you.

Exactly, @the_rose nailed the part nobody talks about.

Honestly I think people are giving too much credit for that being "tough." It sounds more like they let it slide way too long and finally got backed into a corner.
