My project management tool crashed mid-review with a client last Wednesday
I had all our mockups laid out in Asana and the whole thing froze during a live screenshare with a big client. Has anyone else had to scramble to salvage a meeting when their software failed on them?

Lost my whole Trello board once during a Q2 review with our biggest retail client. I just pulled up my phone and walked them through the mockups from screenshots I had saved in my camera roll. It wasn't perfect but the client actually liked that I could pivot quick without panicking. Now I always keep a few backup screenshots of key stuff on my phone before any big meeting.

Had a buddy who ran a design agency and he showed up to a pitch with a dead laptop and no backup. Battery died right as the client walked in. He just grabbed a whiteboard marker and started sketching the entire user flow on their conference room whiteboard. The client was so impressed by his ability to think on his feet that they signed the contract on the spot. He still jokes that maybe we all overthink these presentation tools when sometimes just a marker and a wall is all you really need.

The backup screenshot trick is a lifesaver. I had Basecamp completely lock up on me during a sprint demo with a stakeholder once. I just ended up sharing my screen with a folder of screenshots open on my desktop and narrated through the whole thing from there. Now I make it a habit to grab those pictures before any meeting, no matter how small. Do you keep a specific list of screenshots you always grab beforehand?
