Visited a new med spa in Scottsdale and saw they're charging $350 for a 'digital skin analysis' that's just a phone app.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Wait, three hundred and fifty dollars for a phone app? That's wild. Lee.cora is right, that feels like a total scam. They're really just charging people to look at their own phone screen.

Oh my god, I saw the same thing at a place near me... they had an iPad set up and called it a "high tech complexion mapping session" for like $300. It's literally a free app you can download.

There's a big difference between the free app and what a pro does with it. The tool is just a tool, it's the knowledge that costs money. A good artist can read that map and actually fix the problems it shows, which takes training. You're paying for their skill, not the iPad.
