inQuestion about a cracked anvil face. I was working on a big leaf spring knife in my garage and my 70 pound anvil just split right down the middle on the third heat.
Hold up, why's it automatically scrap? That crack looks pretty clean. Couldn't you just fill it with epoxy or something and keep using it? I've fixed way worse. Seems wasteful to toss it over one split. What if it's still good for another purpose?

inJust realized a trick for painting window trim without taping everything
My last apartment had twelve huge windows and taping them took me a full Saturday. I started using an old credit card as a scraper shield and it cut the time in half. You get such a clean line if you keep the blade wet and wipe it off between passes. It feels like a cheat code compared to all that careful taping. I'm never going back to the old way.

inTIL a 30-day payment term actually costs you money, found it in a book on small business finance.
We got our best client down to net 15 by showing them the math on our financing costs. It took a real conversation about how late payments affect our ability to stock materials. Now they pay faster and our cash flow is way smoother.

inPSA: My SIM card fight in Bangkok took 4 days and a fake address
Was it one of those big pink AIS stores or a smaller one? I had a friend try to get a SIM near Khaosan Road last year and they made him go to THREE different shops because his passport photo page had a tiny crease in it. The whole system seems designed to make you give up. Honestly, after the second day I would have just bought a cheap phone with a number already in it from a market stall.

inShoutout to the crew that helped me after a bad pour in Spokane
Heard a foreman say they just send the crew for lunch if a load gets rejected.
