A client's endless revision requests before even starting the job

Started putting every single task in a shared project tool where clients have to click "approve" on each phase. Saw a client try to add three new pages halfway through a website build, pointed them to the approved list and said it would be a separate bill. They dropped two of the pages real quick and paid for the third. That tool is now my best defense.

Watched a new guy fight a dull planer blade all morning...

lol that's so true, but tbh sometimes it's not even about maintenance, it's using the wrong tool for the job entirely. Like @jordan_miller92 with the trim, a mitre saw would've given a clean cut even with an okay blade, where a hand saw just struggles. Pushing a dull tool to do work it wasn't made for costs more in wasted material than a new blade.

Almost slipped off a ladder setting up a sensor in an attic. What do you do to stay safe on high installs?

Yeah but then you'd have to admit you're not invincible. I mean, some guys would rather risk a broken arm than ask for help holding their ladder, idk why.

Update: That stuck button taught me to listen more closely.

Honestly, I see this everywhere now, how quick we are to blame some big, broken system instead of the tiny, simple fix. Like with my phone acting slow, I was ready to buy a new one, but just closing all my apps fixed it. We jump to blame the big, hard thing when the answer is usually quiet and right in front of us. Makes me wonder how many other problems in life just need a little clean instead of a whole rewire.
