inJust read that 60% of crane accidents happen during setup not the actual lift
Whoa, that stat really caught me off guard too. I mean, think about it - most of the near-misses I've seen on sites have been during the lift itself (swinging loads, snapped cables, that kind of stuff). So what specifically in the setup phase is causing these accidents? Is it like ground conditions giving way under the outriggers, or is it people rushing through the assembly and missing critical steps?

inVent: My cheap desk chair finally gave out after 14 months
Fourteen months out of a $90 chair is actually pretty solid value if you think about it - that works out to like six bucks a month for something to sit on. You can always buy the same chair again for another year and still spend way less than jumping into a premium ergonomic model right now. Chairs under $300 with long warranties usually cut corners somewhere else, so you might actually get more problems dealing with a complicated return process than just replacing a simple cheap chair.

Yeah renaming it with just numbers finally worked for me.

inThat 1987 F150 I worked on last week had some weird wiring I'd never seen before
Did you happen to find any old lamp cord wire in there too? I've seen people use that for trailer wiring and it's always a fire waiting to happen... The worst one I ran into was a 90s Bronco where they had wired a subwoofer amp directly into the ignition switch harness with lamp cord and no fuse at all. The insulation was already melted in a few spots from the draw. Took me half a day to undo that and replace the burned up switch connector. Sometimes you gotta wonder if people just hate their trucks or if they really think electrical tape is magic.

inDispute took 6 months to fix one tiny error on my Equifax report
Man oh man, the blood sacrifice line is too real. I swear the credit bureaus have some kind of secret ritual you have to complete before they even look at your paperwork.
